Hello. Is this community still active? My name is Diana, and I started working at Vector this June. I've been looking for some way to meet other sales reps via the web. I was surprised VectorConnect didn't provide some sort of directory so that students could look up the other reps who attend their school. If that makes any sense at all.

I'm an English Literature major at the University of Southern California. FIGHT ON, TROJANS! It's my second year. I work at Vector so I can pay off my student loans because USC isn't cheap at all.

I hail from the Long Beach pilot office. Southland divison, Western region. I'm a Senior Field Sales Manager, as well as a member of the division elite key staff. Whatever that means. Honestly, I still feel like a Cutco newbie. I just started my sixth month as a rep. The promotions or whatever are very confusing, and I'd rather not think too much about them.

I guess I should give you my stats, too. I'm at $85K in career sales, and I'm currently trying to finish as a top ten All-American this fall campaign. This summer, I finished at number four... a few hundred dollars more than whatever Louis Gale (number five) ended up with. Louis Gale is the crazy bastard from the Santa Monica office who can pull a $10K week. Three weeks in a row. That's insane, don't you think?

Anyway, Louis and I have been battling it out all summer long. It's a rivalry that will continue for the rest of our lives, seems like.

In my interview, I told the manager I thought the whole thing sounded like one huge scam. He hired me anyway. I've read through a couple websites about the supposed Vector scam, and I'd be more than happy to discuss this with another human being.

By the way, I'm obsessed with Fight Club (the movie and the book) because I adore Chuck Palahniuk. I devour books by the dozen (hello, English major) and write too much. If anyone here has read Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut, I'd love to talk about that too. I play classical guitar, and I drive too fast. I'm addicted to coffee.

So if anyone's still alive, feel free to reply to this post or send me an email.

Haha, thanks.

This may be old news to some of you but tonight I received two separate emails from friends about this. Just thought I would pass the info along. What do we have to lose?

"GAS STRIKE - MAY 19th
With the price of regular gas climbing over $2.00
This could be an interesting concept. Easy enough to plan to fill-er-up
on
5/17 or 5/18...but don't' buy...

NO GAS ON MAY 19TH

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT
PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL
COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER
4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.

THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT TO THEM" DAY AND
THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT
DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY
PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE
SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES
ARE
FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS
SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL
SUPPLIES -
ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE
UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

This is a community for Sales Reps, Managers and Owners of Cutco. This is also a place for anyone who has questions for and against Cutco or Vector. But there is help for those who need it in their sales.

I am here to support any Cutco reps and help them out with any questions. and also here to talk about the myths and legends about Cutco. And also to encourage other college students to join the cutco/vector team to make a lot of money, it's all up to you!!

I love Cutco. But i also have done a lot of research on it, and i do not presently work for cutco. I would love for people to just come in and talk about whatever they want, whether it is good or bad about Cutco, we need to get it straightened out, right?
